Elder Abuse Victims

What is Elder Abuse?

According to a report prepared by the CRCVC in 2006, "(e)lder abuse is any form of mistreatment, action or inaction by any individual or institution that causes harm, threatens harm or jeopardizes the health and/or well being of an elderly person."1 The report lists five common forms of elder abuse:

  • Sexual Abuse
  • Physical Abuse
  • Emotional Abuse
  • Neglect
  • Financial Abuse
